verb, choked, chok·ing, noun to stop the breath of by squeezing or obstructing the windpipe; strangle; stifle.

Choking

You suck the oxygen out of the room
Turn happy moments to bitter doom

A negative energy radiates from your skin,
The words you speak are weak, sound thin

Constant reminders of troubled pasts
Now I know this friendship can’t last

The tears shed all through the years do not go away,
They become your fears

I’m choking, gagging from your pain,
Wondering why I’m still victim to the games

When will it ever end?
Can you tell me when your heart will mend?

No longer do you fight the pity you’ve gained
The sadness, the sorrow and all of the shame

I can no longer hold your life in my hands
No longer can I run with you in the sand

There is no more oxygen left in the room
You’ve sucked it out with all of your gloom
