When inspiration enters your life, it can impact your mind, body and soul. I guess I was 13 or 14 when I first laid eyes on the works of Keith Haring. So colorful I thought, an abundance of life - I can tell you what it was too, it was a photo (not the real thing unfortunately) of some works he sketched out in a subway somewhere in Manhattan. It almost looked as if it was drawn in chalk, on blackboard material. Very interesting I thought...only to discover (probably the same year) that this chick who sings "Material Girl" was not only his friend but part of that whole era of rebellious freaks who resided on the lower east side of Metropolis wanting fame and the recognition that goes along with...lots of success stories in that time, hard work DEDICATION and suffering - I believe it was the time any real celebrity worked so hard to get to the top. Unfortunately Keith died of the disease THAT STILL EXISTS. (Why, I don't know...but I'm pretty certain MONEY has something to do with it - AIDS became a business) I enjoy looking back on this era, even though I was young and pubescent; great things were happening.
All the rage now is knowing when Ashley F$@&*!&# Simpson gets her nose done or when Paris gets arrested for drunk driving...
