Thanks for the linkage! This single cover brings back so many memories.
One thing to note about this cover... when this single first hit radio, all the urban stations starting playing it in heavy rotation (like WBLS), so WB decided to release the single with an urban image.
They didn't want the public to know that Madonna was white (yet). She was NOT pleased. No one *really* saw Mad's face until the album was dropped. Even the second 12" single had Madonna 'Art' like images - no real photographs.
Those sneaky record labels!
