Being that Father's Day is right around the corner and I will not be with my Dad "ON THE DAY" I have decided to have this reflection of my Dad growing up. My Dad was an Artist. An Artist on paper and an Artist in wood carvings and He LOVED clay! I grew up with some great memories of my Dad and his box of clay in the living room, his wood sculptures in the garage and his drawings in his art lab. Before I was even created, DAD tried Comic Stripping in various papers. My Dad created this alien universe coming in contact with the world in the 1960's. I find from the wood carvings, the furniture he's made and his clay figures that this is some of his best work. I have always been so proud of Dad, so proud because he always TRIED.

This is some of his work. Also attached is an unfortunate rejection letter from the Enquirer along with some of his "DODDLE" work I always saw about the house. His work will (respectively) be shown in increments on this very blog!)

I love the Space People! Yes, RG was always very artsy and crafty.
I remember spending hours down in his little 'Art Room' with all the 'Ad Lib T' memorabilia around.
We'd draw or cut and paste Madonna pictures (the old fashioned way, with cement glue and Xacto knives).
