"I cannot say that I know what you're going through because I haven't lost a parent.. I can only say that our parents gave us life so we could go out and live it.. I think your mom will watch over you from where she is now happy in knowing that you are living the life she gave you, to it's fullest!.. So, the next time you're out there just livin' life, and you feel an emotion swelling up inside, thank your mom for giving that to you"

PS: I saw a rainbow on my way to work this morning and thought of your mom!

Hi Ray... I was VERY upset to hear about your mother. Though I may not have seen her often I feel like I have known her my entire life. I know that there is nothing that anyone can say to make this any easier, and the last thing you want to hear is that she is in a better place now. At least I know I hated when people told me that when my grandparents died. I just want to say I am very sorry and that if you need me for anything please call me. I hope the next few days go smoothly for you. I will see you either tomorrow or Wednesday.

...keep in mind- this is a very emotional /disturbing time - it was your mother you lost - you can not take away that sadness- we can only continue to celebrate your mom's life and keep her name alive. Time does heal the pain - but the sadness will be there forever. As you say 'life goes go on" but we now incorporate the death of your mother into life. DO NOT try to escape all with alcohol- extracurricular- etc etc - there is no escaping. If you are to indulge- do it for enjoyment and not running from anything. Be strong- keep the faith and onward and upward we go----
