British Airways' brand-new T5 Heathrow terminal took a turn for the worse yesterday when the carrier's ongoing baggage woes inconvenienced the wrong customer: notorious supermodel hothead Naomi Campbell.

Campbell was arrested late Thursday on suspicion of assaulting an officer after police were called to a disturbance at Heathrow's new Terminal 5. Witnesses said Campbell was aboard a British Airways plane due to depart for Los Angeles when she became involved in a dispute over her luggage."
Apparently, Campbell became upset after being informed that one of her two checked bags had gone missing, according to Campbell spokeswoman Annabel Fox. Fox claims BA "decided to resolve this by insisting she leave the flight and then called the police to forcibly eject her." "the notoriously bad tempered prima donna demanded British Airways staff to immediately find the lost article. … (But) when they said they would have to find and forward it to her later, she flew into a rage.""fellow passengers then looked on in horror as the statuesque model began 'ranting and screaming' and struggling with at least three police officers."

Campbell "was going nuts, spitting, punching and lashing out. BA staff were genuinely concerned about her well-being." in the time it took to get Campbell off the plane –- along with her one checked bag BA could find -– the flight's other L.A.-bound passengers were delayed by 90 minutes.

Campbell has a history of assaulting assistants and employees," including a 2007 incident in which the supermodel pleaded guilty for throwing her cellphone at her maid over a missing pair of jeans.
