In Case You Missed It

Gale Harold, widely praised for his role as Brian Kinney in Showtime’s Queer as Folk, is said to be in a critical condition after being involved in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday.
Initial reports suggested his injuries were limited to a shoulder fracture, but Marc Cherry, creator of Desperate Housewives (in which Harold is currently filming a guest role), stated to the Associated Press that Harold has swelling on the brain.

The original statement released by Harold's publicist on Tuesday confirmed the accident, and referred to a shoulder fracture being the only injury. “He has fractured his shoulder and is under observation to assess any possible further injuries. Everyone is hopeful for a full recovery.”
The thirty-nine year old is currently in intensive care at the USC Medical Centre, with reports suggesting Harold will make a full recovery.
Harold’s first appearance on Desperate Housewives on Australian television will be in February 2009, playing the role Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher)’s latest love interest.
Harold was reportedly travelling to the Desperate Housewives set when he became involved in the accident. There were no reports of any other injuries.
