Kick off the Clammy Weekend

Thom's Dad Clem had his ump-tenth annual American Legion Picnic - Kicking off this long weekend with every clam you can imagine. Clams on the half, to baked clams to Linguine and white clam sauce. Aged men fought over how many clams were dispersed...

Clam juice was tossed and many lined up to suckle the fresh clam meat. It was the beginning of our mini vaca, heading later to the shores of N.J and an abundance of clams were served...

bless the child...

Thom's God Daughter receives Holy Communion today. The Bride of Christ partied at Lorenzo's at the island Hilton, while the Sons of God celebrated one week earlier out in Howell-bama... Lovely... the children are now introduced to the meaning of the word SIN.
It's all downhill from here.

Iam REALLY really getting TIRED of almost getting run over by Michael Musto on his bike on the streets of Manhattan! Like, what is he following me??? It's freaky how I see him almost every day just as Iam crossing the bike lane to cross the street.

Can anyone tell me where I can get Baby Corn in a can in New York? My entire family can get it in New Jersey (the Garden State!) but I have been to every supermarket in S.I and no one has it... What's up with that?

A powerful storm -- which officials this evening confirmed included a tornado -- rocked Staten Island this morning, downing trees, power lines and crushing cars.
For a video of some of the destruction,

"I was in bed and my windows were slightly open, it sounded like a train was going by," said Kathy McKenna, who lives on St. Austins Place in West Brighton. "I saw my curtains move horizontally and water started pouring in. I jumped up to shut the window and saw the tree on my car."

Her 2005 storm gray Saturn Ion was almost flattened when two large trees fell on it.
"It's just a car," said the 31-year-old. "Thank God everyone is OK."
Many resident on this quiet street across from Richmond University Medical Center, think it was a tornado that caused all the damage.
"I got up to shut the windows and moved back because it sounded like a train going by," said Moira Romagnola, who also lives on St. Austins Place. "This is devastating, but I bet this is nothing to what the people from Katrina or the people in Florida with hurricanes must go through."
National Weather Service officials this afternoon confirmed a tornado touched down on Staten Island. According to officials, it ranked either an EF0 or an EF1 on the
Enhanced Fujita scale.
A more severe EF2 twister hit the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn.

This morning's storm, which ripped through West Brighton and other North Shore neighborhoods, sent trees and branches crashing into cars, homes and pools.
We went out and talked to some locals about the storm, and the trouble it caused.
